Mentorship Program

KnockOuts For Girls provides mentors for girls AND for children and adults with special needs.

We can provide mentors in all areas of the United States where we have KnockOuts, so anyone can apply to be set up with a mentor, and if we can help you, we’ll let you know. We are growing and expanding daily, but currently, most of our KnockOuts are in the southern California area.

For more info, please email our Senior Director of Mentorship Programs, Kandyce Szeneri, at:

Parents, siblings, relatives, teachers, counselors, coaches, neighbors, etc... are welcome to refer to us, girls, and children and adults with special needs, who they believe would benefit from our program. Individuals may also contact us directly to be assigned a mentor.

Due to the large volume of emails we receive for our many programs, we are not always able to respond to everyone, but we do our best to help as many girls as possible.

Our mentors commit to one-year of service and during that year they:

*Meet with their assigned Little KnockOuts (girls) or Buddies (children and adults with special needs) at least once per month for at least an hour. During this time, the mentor will provide any necessary transportation and will cover any costs that they incur.

*Email their Little KnockOuts/Buddies weekly and speak with them on the phone twice a month.

*Bring their Little KnockOut/Buddy to at least 2 boxing lessons/trainings (each will count toward the one hour/month).

The role of our mentors is to provide our Little KnockOuts/Buddies with someone they can look up to and feel comfortable talking to about anything. Our mentors are available to offer guidance and advice and to bring smiles to the faces of our Little KnockOuts/Buddies! We want our Little KnockOuts/Buddies to look forward to seeing their mentors and we want their time together to be fun and exciting.

We are confident that our mentors will be instrumental in guiding our Little KnockOuts on paths to becoming independent, empowered, happy, successful and fulfilled women who can give back to society.

We are also confident that our mentors will be instrumental in guiding our Buddies on paths to becoming more independent, empowered, happy and able to feel important and able to contribute, in some way, no matter how small, to their communities. Most importantly, we hope to make their lives more enriched and fulfilled.
